The short version: Pace is an AI companion made by Toymint, it's in closed beta, be kind to it and it'll be kind to you. The slightly longer version follows. Last updated July 2026.
What Pace is — and isn't
Pace is an artificial-intelligence companion: it chats, texts, emails, calls, remembers, and encourages. It is not a person, not a doctor, not a therapist, and not an emergency service. Its wellness tips are general encouragement, never medical advice — for health decisions, talk to a professional; in an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Your account
You need to be at least 18 to have a Pace account (a Pace gifted to a parent is their account, not yours). Keep your sign-in email to yourself; anyone with it can read your conversations.
Price
Pace is free during the closed beta. When billing begins, one Family plan covers the whole household at $25 a month — everyone gets the same full Pace — and Parent Care is an add-on at $50 a month per parent. Cancel anytime and keep access through the period you paid for. Gifted months of Pace are prepaid and redeemable by the recipient's family. Beta members are told personally before anything changes.
Fair use
Pace is for companionship. Don't use it to harass people, break the law, or probe and abuse the service. Calls and messages have generous fair-use limits so one account can't crowd out everyone else's companion.
The honest limits
Pace is software, and beta software at that: it can be wrong, miss a message, or be briefly unavailable, and Toymint's liability is limited to what you've paid for the service. We work hard to make Pace dependable — and this page will grow up as Pace does.
Leaving
You can stop anytime: reply STOP to any text, turn off any channel in Settings, cancel a membership, or delete your account entirely on the privacy page.
